What is Clarifyr?

Clarifyr is a knowledge base ingestion and retrieval API. It takes your existing support content — articles, PDFs, screenshots and videos — processes it with AI, and makes it available as a structured, searchable API your chatbot or support tool can query.
How does setup work?

Connect your Zendesk (or upload documents directly), trigger a sync, and your knowledge base is searchable within minutes. No fine-tuning, no model training required.
Will my data be used to train AI?

No. Your content is never used to train shared or general AI models. It is processed solely to deliver the Clarifyr service to you.
Where is my data stored?

All data is stored in Sweden (UpCloud SE-STO-1). AI inference runs via Mistral AI in France. Nothing leaves the EU.
What AI models do you use?

We use Mistral Embed for vector embeddings and Mistral Large for answer generation. Vision analysis (screenshots) uses Pixtral. Video transcription uses Faster Whisper, running on our own infrastructure.
Do I need my own Mistral or OpenAI account?

No. Clarifyr handles all AI calls on your behalf. You only need a Clarifyr subscription.
What formats can I ingest?

Currently: Zendesk Guide articles (including embedded images and Vimeo/YouTube videos), direct URL import, and PDFs. More integrations (Confluence, Notion, SharePoint) are on the roadmap.
Can I embed a chat widget on my support site?

Yes. Clarifyr ships a lightweight embeddable widget — one script tag, fully customisable. Your customers get instant AI-powered answers from your knowledge base.
What languages are supported?

Clarifyr works with any language supported by Mistral. We have specific optimisation for Danish, Swedish, English, German and Dutch.
How is billing handled?

Monthly or annual subscription billed in advance. Cancel anytime. No refunds for partial periods.
Do you offer a free trial?

Yes — 14 days, no credit card required. You get full access to the Growth plan during the trial.
How do I get a DPA?

A GDPR-compliant DPA is included with all paid plans. It's available at getclarifyr.com/dpa.
